how to kite rep

so, we are in Los Barriles in Baja and there is demo day going on. Lots of kites and boards to try and play on. 6 or 7 companies on the beach. Sunny with wind 19-23 gusty and holey as well. Water small to mid size swell and choppy. Not the best conditions but fine to try new toys and see how they handle the junk.
Liquid Force kite goes down and the guys pulls and goes to the leash. Kite is flopping around and doing what it is supposed to do, no pull but not going to relaunch either.
There is a rep on the beach, sees the problem and jumps on his gear, goes out to the guy and grabs the kite after the guy lets it go as if it is nothing and brings it in up onto shore hands it to some one, goes back out and drags the guy with his board back in as well. It was pretty cool to see how easy he made it all look. i've dragged in plenty of boards and people but kites are a bit trickier especially with the lines dangling.
The good part is then he gave the guy his kite and told him to go back out and have fun, he would deal with the other kite and rats nest of lines and bar. just grabbed it all up and walked off smiling that some one was back on the water.
I believe it is called customer service and the guy wasn't even a customer yet!
Wish i knew the reps name to give him some props.

Awesome story! It's nice to hear brand reps going out of their way to make kiters happy.

Any time I've spoken with LF customer service they have been super helpful and friendly, and take care of any issues or questions as fast as possible to help you get on the water.

Very likely the rep is Gregg Gnecco. He is one of nicest guys you could meet.

Today that was Liquid Force Team Rider Brandon Scheid who made the hero move! Like a pro! Stoked when we can have such great riders with us at some demo events! LF is all about smiles for miles and we are all stoked at a demo or any other time to help a fellow kiter get their stoke on, whether that's a rescue or getting someone out for sesh on one of our kites or boards!

We'll let Brandon know to check this thread. Thanks!

Nice! :thumb:

Local LF rep here had a gear day a few months back. I stood there looking expectantly at the boards... and got ignored  same as all the other reps. If you don't schmooze them and kiss their asses, they ignore you.

Sweet story about the rescue. Sounds like a good group of guys there.

Kami he probably ignored you because he knew who you were. :naughty:

Right - who wants to sell kites anyway?

wasn't this just a story of someone helping a fellow kiter out?

I'm not trying to slag on someone being a rep, but if we see people in trouble we have to help.

..also towing a kite in is easier than it might sound. Just make sure you don't get tangled :-)

Awesome story though.
