Funny fact, I'm from Cuba but I don't live there anymore. I'm pretty sure there are no rules at all. They don't care if you run over a swimmer with your board.

Rick is absolutely right stay away from swimmers and beachgoers and stay outside of swim buoys on downwinders. most of the issues are where more kiters congragate.

i feel your pain jats2k9... I have done the membership thing over at crandon and also have
kited in the crowds only to get the stink eye from beach goers for no reason. Seems like
some people are curious, while others feel that we are ruining the view of the ocean for them.
I agree with the above post, stay way outside the bouy's. Stay away from swimmers, even the ones
that only seem to want to swim right in the CLEARLY MARKED "kiteboarding launching zone" sign area put up by the city.
I've been hunting for some out of the way new spots for flatwater, PM or email me if you're interested
in checking some spots out that won't have beach-goers around.

Jack C, for sure I would like to go check places. Luckily we'll find some.
