Hi,

For those coming to Brazil, there are major problems getting money out of ATMs with Visa or Mastercard since several months. EC or Maestro cards are still working on most ATMs.
You can pay with your credit cards in restaurants, shops or hotels, there are no problems.
Better bring some cash and change it here.

Banco do Brasil works fine with Visa and Mastercard (e.g. Fortaleza or Caucaia)

Banco24 works with Mastercard, Visa not. Didn't check Maestro the last weeks though.

Pls keep us up to date from June on, since then more kiters are likely to hit the area again.

And stay where you are Caesar...way too cold in Germany!

Since 5 days BB is blocked too. That was my last resort as well in the past. Also read the Brasil Forum where everybody worldwide is complaining about it.

Great kiting here so surely I will keep my bum here.
