Hello Janus,

concerning to the ''Medusa'' hotel, it is close to the center of Loutsa, but there is much noise around the area and you will surely need a car to go to the spot of Loutsa. The best choice for you might be the Sofitel, just close to the airport...you will earn a few minutes of sleep in the morning!!!!!!!!

About the kite, as the guys told you before, the most usual number for Loutsa is 9, for 20-30knots. Of course, it is a good chance for you to see also the other kitespots and the monumetal Athens as well, such as Akropolis, Parthenon etc. So it would be great if you could stay a few days more!!!!!

We are pleased to help you with anything you need, while from this summer we start our new project ''KiteInAthens.gr'' which includes daily excursions to the closest kitespots in Athens.

Take a look to Jeremie's video at http://kiteinathens.gr to see some of them. A few more kitespots are Drepano, Nafpaktos and Nafplio.

Hello Janus,

From today to Saturday will be windy at Lousta with strong north winds...

http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=153

However the north wind slows down on Sunday and we are expecting the thermal wind to blow that you cannot see in any site but locals know where and when it is...

The Kiteclub.gr crew together with KiteInAthens.gr will be everyday at the beach so you can contact us if you would like to join us...
.
Have a look on tripadvisor to see what is going on...

Thx,
Ill be stuck Loutsa only, other spots will be difficult to fit in my time scedule.. ("free" @ 17.00 hour till sundown..) is there any thermal effect on Loutsa itself? or only at other spots (Drepanos?) and other prob with thermals is that in my experience they shutdown after 1800 hour.. (the time Ill arrive at tha beach.. 8) )
Maybe only bring the harness and do some Epic testing when there's some wind...

Hmm thinking.. is there any easy soaring (Paragliding) activity?

or am I doomed looking at :hotchic:  only?

Sometimes happens but not so often and only around 14:00 to 15:00pm

Drepano is one of the best spot in Greece but unfortunately is 2+ driving from Athens...so it's impossible to be there on time if you leave at 5'o clock!

However you can enjoy the thermal wind at Oropos where the wind blows around 16:00pm until late in the afternoon, 20:00-21:00pm, and it's only one hour driving from Athens...

For any further information you need during your stay in Athens please don't hesitate to contact us!

So a late thank you to Nikos!
I went to Greece without kites and boards.. and at monday there was a nice thermal wind, Nikos mailed me and I went to Oropos (nw from Athens) at 1700 at the spot..
Nikos let me try the 9m (screamer i thought) with a TT and later a Raceboard from North. had some fun! made my working trip to Greece much more juicy!
Thanks Nikos!
