The first day of the MINI Kitesurf Tour Europe at the Kitesurf Cup Sylt was full of Course Race action.

The wind forecast for today already promised some action on the water.

Tonight many Riders of the MINI Kitesurf Tour Europe will be feeling shatered. The Course Racers started off with six races. 29 men and 7 women showed their skills to the audience at the beach. With a great support from the spectators Katja Roose (NED) won all races of the day, followed by Aga Grzymska (POL) and Christine Bönniger (GER).

The top four of the men fleet was more mixed up. Maxime Nocher (FRA), Olivier Dansin (FRA), Maks Zakowski (POL) and German Course Race star Florian Gruber were fighting for the lead.

Next to the action on the water the spectators enjoyed the sunny day on the promenade and took the chance for a MINI testdrive. The Chupa Kite Team arranged a Kite-Show, Team Germany met up to sign posters for their fans and the commentators had a few Riders for an interview at the stage.

The wind didn't pick up for the Freestyle competition so that all Riders were released at the late afternoon.

The Surfer-Cocktail of the day was mixed by German Freestylers Tom Schüller and Marian Hund.

Skippersmeeting will be tomorrow morning at 10 am with the first possible start for Freestyler at 10.15 am and Course Racer at 11 am.

Follow all the action on our Livestream.
