Hey guys,

I'm an advanced rider and now want to buy my first own kite =P
I search for a kite for freestyle, with quite a long Hangtime which is very flexible & fast.

Can you help me finding a good one?

This question has been asked many times on the forum. You are probably best just to search for the topic. As there were lots of conclusion's drawn.

Most people will advise you on what they ride. But I think i'm right in saying (and I know I will be corrected if wrong) the best advice is to try as many kites as you can. As everyone likes something different.

Most new bow style kites would fit your request, just a question of price and preference.

If you're advanced and into freestyle, i'd assume you're gonna be in for one of the top Cs out there.

The only valid advice you can get is try them all and buy the one you feel in love with.

There is no objectively "better" kite out there, differences are tiny. Think at it like at the top 3-4 teams in F1...the differences in performance in reality are minimal.

I'm no advanced by any mean, but i guess any advanced rider can confirm. The better you are, the less you are going to feel the difference of the kite. It's 95% about the rider: give to me a 2008 kite and i'll be able to perform 50% of the tricks i do on a 2013 kite, give the same 2008 kite to an advanced rider and he'll perform 95% of what he does vs. a 2013 one.

At least this is what i've seen around spots worldwide.

Buy whatever kite it is you've been riding since you are already used to it. Maybe you mean "advanced wakeboard rider"?

1: how much money you got
2: buy one 2012 or later
3: any brand these days have very comparable kites - models
4: try as many as possible before choosing
5: buy second hand = 50 % cheaper

You are finding 2012 kites for half price? Other than a "bro deal", I haven't seen that. I got a good deal on a new 2012 Rebel last fall, but they quickly sold out and I still see sellers trying to get very close to what I paid for a new kite.

I for one find it weird that you consider yourself and advanced rider but don't know what kite you prefer.

I remember one person I saw that bombed on the lessons quit because it was too hard self described advanced rider, turned out it was horses, no lie
