ET Handle, new kite pump add-on just launched!

Hey everyone, we've just launched the website for a new kite pump add-on now for sale. I'd go so far as to say it's a game changer (but I am bias of course  ).

Check out http://www.ETHandle.com - It's a simple idea, basically extending the length of the kite pump handle so you don't have to bend right down to pump up your kite, but makes a huge difference to the amount of effort in pumping up your kite.

Please let us know any feedback, and feel free to send a PM or reply on here if you have any questions (or of course buy one!).

I've learned a lot from Kiteforum over the last couple of years, so chosen here as the first place in the world to share the site.

Cheers!
Dan

$30 for a handle exstension... that's hillarious. Best bit is you're actually selling them. Fair play.

Personally I really like this idea. Mostly cause a have a damaged lower back and this would ease the pain a bit when pumping :cool2:

i don't know, right now i use bigger size pumps which come standard with airush or gaastra, and when pump shaft is fully extracted my back is almost strait.
now, if i would use this pump shaft extension i'd be forced to rise the shaft with my arms on the upstroke and press the shaft down again with my arms, which is wrong. you should pump by bending your knees not your back or your arms.

i'm 184cm or 6'1'' so at least people with same height and shorter don't need any extensions imo.

of course with the shorter pump version may be it will be useful, but i don't use those shorties.

This is a good idea for the short pumps but my liquid force pump already has an extension on it so i have no need. I love having the extra length on my pump though. If i had a shorty id be all over this.

Thanks for the thoughts guys :thumb:

sijandy - It is actually a very expensive process developing plastic molding and sourcing parts, but agree, $29.50 may be a little high. With this in mind, I've dropped the price to $19.00 !!

eree - Yes, some pumps are a better size, but they still benefit from this extension, though you probably wanna get the 8" instead of 10. The idea is to use your arms more instead of moving your whole body.

Cheers all - on a side note, I'm visiting a cable park for the first time tomorrow, so looking forward to not having any setup or pumping time at all

very expensive developing new parts? Looks like a handle off another pump to me......That is very original and environmentally mental.

DanV3 - yeah i imagine it is, i wouldn't know. But for me the fact people were actually paying $30 for a handle exstension just highlights what a 'rich kid' sport this is. I've been kiting for 6 years and still my only piece of brand new equipment is my wetsuit, think i'm gonna knock one up using the handle out of an old pump and put the $30 towards my next un-bodgeable piece of equipment. Everything in this sport is crazy money, £1500 for a kite these days is insane. Swings and roundabouts tho, if it wernt for the London rich kids impulse buying equipment then i wouldnt grab my ebay bargains 6months down the line when they realise they cant do it! I say keep it at $30 and rip the a***hole out of em! Like i said, fair play to ya! :thumb:
