I've always wondered how Cdrives would go when kiting.

Cheers for all the suggestions on fins ! (aim is to use my 9m kite at 80kg btw) I don't mind cheap knock off fins to start with :D Not sure about splurging on John John fins when I don't know what I like yet. Long fins with min flex makes sense for some stability at the expense of tighter carving. Keep them coming :thumb:

I plan to buy a Dakine slider 155 boardbag for my 5'2 Vanguard, can someone confirm it fits (or not) ?
Thanks!

Yes the 5'2 fits in a 155 slider. Mine does.

I'm going to buy a used Vanguard. I think it is 2015 or 2016. How can i confirm it is kite construction? I've done some searching online but haven't figured out if the kiteboards have specific graphics or labelling. Thanks for any help.

I think it says kts with small letter on the side somewhere... Not 100 % on this, but my Vader had this type of letters on it.

Also think theres a different graphic on the TOMO logo. Surf edition more black while kite is red ish or something like that. Had the Vanguard 3 years ago so not totally sure about it, but if you google pics of you might get the idea..

The Vanguard surfboard made in FST also has "FST" written on the bottom.

Paul S.,
The older vanguard kite versions have Felix's signature on it. New ones no longer do(from the pics online). Best way to tell is to pick it up. The kite version is a tank compared to the surfboard version. An avg 6'0" surfboard weighs between 2.2 kilos - 2.7 kilos(about 5-6 pounds) for reference.

Thanks for the replies. Turned out that kite was written on the balsa rail stringer along with dimensions and other info.
