Real-Time Wind Info

Hi Guys, Im looking for some help for some Real-Time Wind info.

In Canada we have a free site that updates current conditions every 2 minutes:

http://atm.navcanada.ca/atm/iwv/CYTZ

This is an example of the Toronto Island Airport next to a couple of our kite spots.

I'm wondering if there are other sites like this for places around the world: US, Europe, Asia ETC. Im working on something for our local kiters but if I had links to other Real Times sites I could possibly expand it to a global project.

Any help with links is greatly appreciated!

Such a site already exists:

www.windalert.com

I used to use a bunch of other meters on various sites, but there are enough (accurate) meters on windalert across the world that it gives a pretty good picture of what the wind is like. Apps for android/ios too... it's a lifesaver for me.

I use windalert. And I use the app. Both only update hourly and 20 min past like most other wind sites, include Metars and Tafs.

I am searching for more sites that update within a 10 minute window that I can pull the info off into my 1x1 app for my android. It'll only give current wind speed, gusts, and direction. And will be FREE.

Ah.

There is an open source piece of software for weather stations called cumulus, by sandaysoft. one of our local meters uses it and updates every 5 minutes. There's an android widget that will take feeds from it if you have the url of the text file it outputs. Not sure if you want to browse their forum and see if something like that might be worth trying to integrate.
