So if I want the NHP, which size should I go for? I'm 190 centimetres tall and weigh 90 kilos. 44 centimetres wide sounds really wide and maybe hard to edge the board, but maybe it's not? Can you use boots on the NHP 2013? Liquid Force Cradle boots.

The NHP isn't drilled for wake boots -- the 50/Fifty is. I'm 175 pounds and I ride a 130 and 137 boards -- it depends on the wind. When my kite is overpowered and I want to boost high, I go with the small board so I can hold the edge and use the kite to go big. When I'm less powered, I go with the 137 2HD. So what I'm saying is, what kind of wind do you plan on riding in? the 44cm wide NHP is a bit wide for most people, but if you often ride in lighter wind/underpowered, that may be the way to go.

BTW, if you go with a 50/Fifty, even the 140cm feels like a 132 in a NHP.

Thanks,
Stafford

Thanks Droffats, very helpful! I have tried a 50fifty now and loved it, i just felt that I had to work pretty hard to get all the pop out of it. So my final question is: is the pop in the NHP easier to access, and more direct, so to speak? It might have been that the 50 is maybe a bit to soft/flexy, i dont know.

The NHP is a bit more stiff and the more square tips give more platform to pop off of.

NHP would be a better choice for all around, amazing board, does everything well.

Not sure about Shinn being evolution to Nobile, if I'm not mistaken, Shinn boards are made by Nobile in the same factory. I'm sure they keep their finger on things :)

Go for NHP, many guys say 2013 NHP is the best yet.

Hey Aloha,

Go with 140.

Check out the pictures, NHP vs 50/50

Wow, thanks Kuczwas, never seen them side by side like that! Looks like the NHP has a bit more rocker right? And quite a lot wider tips!

The rocker is very similar, 50/50 might be actually a bit flatter, you are right. But 50/50 has softer flex.
That NHP is 137cm so it is the widest one, but yes, looks like NHP has wider tips.

You can also see the NHP is asymmetrical and the 50/Fifty is not. Or, if it is, I can't tell.

The 50 is asymmetric as well, but not as much. You can see that the toeside tip is more rounded or flat compared to the heel side. I'm going to El Gouna in a couple of weeks and know that Red Sea Zone has Nobile, so I hope I can try a NHP board there.

Maybe the flew of the 50 is to soft for me, and that's why it felt like I "pushed through" the board.

I still don't understand if the NHP is easier to pop with, or what the difference is between a long/narrow bord compared to a shorter/wider, call me stupid haha! :D I saw that the Hadlow board is built in the same way as the 50, 138 long and only 40 wide.
