I'm currently buying some 9m Prime. I can get both 2012 or current 2013, but can't decide wich one. I rode 2011 9m and i really like it a lot. i tried 2013 11m in some how shitty conditons, so i can't really compare them. Been hearing a lot that 2013 lost all the free ride and easy to use aspect in favor of becoming ultimate wakestyle machine. So any Prime riders out there that can share some light on this kite. How does 2013 do in kiteloops and boost category compare to 2012 ( or 2011) model?

The Prime review in issue #63 of KiteWorld Magazine confirm what you heard about the 2013.
They don't rave about boost like the last two years reviews, and they don't say all the same stuff they said about the last two model years.
I like the way 2012 Primes fly.

That's my concern. they went a bit to far making it to tehnical and no fun. My main requrement is great wake style unhookrd preformance, it is just that sometimes when wind is nuking i like to go out and do seme boosting and loops.

If you could get a better deal on a 2012, that would be my no brainer choice.

the price is not the problem, got a good deal on both, i just want to hear from someone who rode both 2012 and 2013 model (preferably a 9m) how much different the kites are.

I love my 9m 2012 prime and its one I kept instead of upgrading with the rest of my quiver, solid performer, powerful, boosty, turns on a sixpence and loops great! Low end is not as good as the Trigger obviously but good technique will get you through..top end is just nuts!!.. .
.Not ridden 2013 prime but for your requirements (wakestyle, unhooked, boost) the 2012 would be ideal choice especially with discounts available you can treat yourself with a new Unibar as well!!
