Hi, guys! Did anyone experienced same issue with valves?
Looks like it is breaking by itself, from both sides, starting slowly with small hole. Kite is new 2013 RPM, 20-25 times on water, no crashes on hard surface, only handlepasses and flat water. Central strut, so it is not because of twisting.
This is my second same accident with SS valves, first one they've sent me new bladder
Can this be prevented somehow? Why this happens?

On my 2011 Fuel I had this happen a few times right after buying it. I think 3 valves total. I have not had any problems with my last 4 Fuels. I think it is caused from being pinched either by the zip tie being to tight or bent when rolled up most likely when leaving the factory.

Yeah, discovered the exact same problem last night with my '09 rpm... hadn't pumped it since my last session a few weeks ago which ended with a heavy crash and the kite deflating in the water...the deflate valve had popped out which i put it soley down to at the time but i guess thats probably when it happened unless it could have been an overly aggressive pack down which i doubt. Has anyone ever tried to repair without replacing the whole valve?? Was thinking of cleaning up the edges, fitting a new bit of pipe and covering in that PVC pipe weld as a temp fix cause it's windy all week!

dandaka your kites are falling apart.
It would be interesting to see what happens to your kites if you start riding a different brands kites.

ben newman, its funny, because I have 3 kites, change every year, never leave them on sand flapping, always dry after session, and so on. But I ride a lot days, I ride hard and crash them.
Different brands has different problems — with North I had twisted shape bladder few times and detached valves in 2010. Looks like they still has this problem, friend of mine has reglued 3 on his 2013 Vegas.

Just finished gluing 3 additional strut valves on an 09 Havoc after one let go.
Seems like the 4 year mark is when they start to give.
Thanks for posting, will keep an eye on my REV valves.

now, who in their sound mind would want fone kite for the next season at all?
but thanks Dandaka for the the warning.
we know that kiteboarding producers are not care much about the safety, and since there are not a lot of competition they not care much about the safety and reliability of the kite gear either.
only careful testing is your insurance. do not believe the crap they writing...
