Very low profile bindings for Directional board

I am searching for a solution to ride my directional board strapped or strapless without need to remove bindings/straps.
Thereby having the jumping ability in rough conditions and also the unstrapped ability when on a wave. The bindings do not have to be very tight fitting, but must just be enough to jump over large waves. Was thinking to try woven, material, packaging straps that you can place your foot over (being thin and soft underfoot) and ride on them when wanting to move your feet on a board when surfing the wave.
Anyone tried such a concept yet?
