racing, ya only cared about going in light wind and going Up-wind in light
wind ; what would be the parameters of the board and type/length of the
fins, for a 200Lb,(91kg) rider ?
I would be using a 13M Ozone Edge ; unless Ya told me i needed something
bigger for a kite as well. Money's tight right now, but i actually have the materials
to make the board.

IMO this is exactly what the "racing" raceboards do best
There are hardly any compromises - as those riders who goes the earliest and highest/fastest upwind (two sides of the same thing actually), will find a way to control downwind, and win the race.
So the full raceboards today also start the earliest and goes the best upwind IMO
Just wider of course, as 70cm is a narrow box rule limiting low end...
Dont like the fullblooded raceboards myself, no, as I am into freerace which is another ballgame and lots of compromises, because you want it to be easy for jumping and turning.
But if I simply wanted to ride early, and go the best upwind as you write - not in doubt at all, a really wide big finned raceboard
