I tried it in the store, but the sipper opening was to narrow to get the suit over the shoulders without help......... when on it felt realy nice, but will wait til they make a wider sipper opening before I buy one.

Guttorm,

I have the XXXL Soul and I wear a 46 XL Coat. I understand about the shoulders however there is a little technique that helps to get it over your shoulders.

This could have been a suit from an early PO. The zipper on sizes M, MK, L, LK, and XL were all extended after our first production run. Only the early suits had a shorter entry zipper.

Your experience was one we heard about quite a bit in the beginning, but not at all now. That leads me to be pretty certain you tried on a suit with the shorter entry zip.

So... I would say we do make one with that wider zipper you are worried about!

I had a few sessions in OR Soul and so far I am pretty happy with the suit - very dry and comfy.
The only issue I have is the neck seal, that starts to bother me (itching) after about 2 hours in the water.. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Any way to minimize this annoyance?

Deniska, this isn't uncommon and we are working hard on potential solutions.

Anyway, to answer your question here are some tips you can try:

1) The seal does not need to be "tight" to seal properly, rather it just needs to be smooth and flush against your skin (no tucks or folds) to make a seal. So, consider trimming your seal slightly so it is less tight and gives you some comfort.

2) Counter intuitively, you're best not to shave immediately before using the suit as the short stubble will cause more irritation than slightly longer hairs which will sit flat and not poke you. This is the single biggest cause of a rash or irritation

3) If you wish, McNett makes a product called Seal Saver but also any silicone based lubricant (think, KY not Vaseline) will work to help give some slide to your seal. In fact, triathletes use a product called Body Glide that will also help let the seal slide a bit if you apply some to your neck ahead of the session... key is not to use any oil based products as this will rot your seals.

Hope this helps!

Just used mine for first time today --- loved loved loved it!
15-20 kts abiut 50 deg F.
I am really slow getting set up & so comfy with neck seal off & zipper open. Rode for an hour with 4 or 5 spills. At end my t shirt slightly damp from sweat .
Much more comfortable than i thought it would be

Nice one Knot! Again, it's great to see people are happy with the gear we sell... glad to see as well that you took advantage of Standby Mode! It's a fantastic feature of the suit!

ORSales why the black stretchy material where the side pockets are? I love everything about the Soul except for this...at the end of a session it's the only thing on the suit that's soaking wet.
