How anyone could devote so much of their time worrying about what someone else is riding is completely beyond me. I actually feel dumber for having read this thread.

Pumpy according the rumor since you're working for FS,
I give you an update who challenged Flysurfer especially in the low end and price area
The 11.3m Elf Kite's Joker D-8 has better low end
and steering speed than the 12m Speed3 DLX.
Also there is an improvement in design of efficient projection canopy area.
Also Elf Kites giving you a more rigid LEI feeling than Speed3 FS kites.
But if you like kite bitches for launching and landing just keep

Interestingly, 2013 may be the final DEATH knell for ram airs. Not only did ram airs cRAsH in sales, relative performance, and competition results, the world’s biggest ram air APOLOGISTS, Flysurfer, finally capitulated. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2380956&start=60
It's interesting to note that NO ram airs..... no NOT ONE.... feature anywhere near the top of PKRA rankings in ANY discipline.
www.pkra.info Yes, it's true: Ram airs crashed in Freestyle, Wave, and Speed results.
In addition, Sebastian Bubman and Gunnar Biniasch, the great Ram Air Hopes, both defected to INFLATABLES. Note to the Bubmeister: You should’ve taken my advice 6 years ago and traded-in your flying sleeping bags for inflatables - you could’ve saved your career.
In light of the capitulation of FLYSURFER this year, it is worthwhile revisiting some of the ridiculous claims made in the past by Flysurfer and its representatives: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2362238 viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11619 As indicated at the time, the claims by Flysurfer and Ted Bautista were LIES. The passage of time has proven this.
Ram airs simply can't compete with inflatables because.... they ARE aerodynamically inferior.
If anyone would like a detailed analysis of ram airs vs inflatables, please just say the word.

you just got them started up again...amazing PMU....

I rode one last year, their weight is one of the few considerable advantages I could see - their ability to support their own weight in very light winds - also pack down smaller- probably less risk of deathloops? - dunno...
I say never stop developing/r&d but after riding a flysurfer, no way way i would ride one for waves or freestyle. I still ride with my flexi blade sometimes - interesting and respect to it.. but what an absolute piece of 5hit that is compared to todays kites.

Not the tool I'd chose for those jobs, but there are some who do and they work just fine... apparently.
Certainly, I've learned most of my tricks under the S3 21 simple because it just doesn't zip around up there...

Merry Christmas PMU
Looking forward to some new useless information from you in 2014
I'm getting tired of the same old......
Put those two remaining brain cells to work and get some new drivel for 2014.
