I say never stop developing/r&d but after riding a flysurfer, no way way i would ride one for waves or freestyle. I still ride with my flexi blade sometimes - interesting and respect to it.. but what an absolute piece of 5hit that is compared to todays kites.
Yep. Do don't really get a death loop. As soon as they crumple up they loose all their power. I snapped a pulley bridle the other day. Amaisingly the kite still flew. Rode to the beach and landed it. easy peasy.

I ride a 15m speed 3 in the naki head high +waves in occasions. Granted you wont be down the lining like a wave kite. But man do you get some insane boostage and glide off the wave lips...Sometimes too much glide! gliding straight into the next oncoming pitching face! hehehe.

Can Ya choose your wave to ramp off, then boost & glide to a
clean face on the wave behind Ya , (then ride That one) like the pelican's do??

Off-Topic , but this is a Dumb Thread anyway :

I actually tried that with my RC glider called the Hobie-Hawk ; tossed it
into the face of a 4-ft wave from off the jetty and flew it 30 - 40 yards down the line
but the turn-around didn't go so well , and i lost the glider.

Next time i'd try it with my , (Parkzone-- RC Radian glider) , because it has an electric motor
if i needed to bail out. It flies Good for a Foamie !!

Wouldn't want you to think it was a Foil or anything like that being a Peter Lynn kite and all :thumb:

YES! But timing is very critical. Usually it requires a perfectly timed downloop. I don't pull it off that often. But when I do, I'm whooping and hollaing like a 16 year old school boy whose just found his old mans porn collection!

PS Its a lot easier to land the wave to wave downloop in high winds with a faster kite.
