... mmmm interesting indeed. Really nice colours in my opinion.

Looks fairly high aspect, not in the flysurfers kind of aspect but still fairly high and from what I can see in the pics, similar to the Dyno.

Boy the LE looks thin too, and that's a whole lota canopy to support so hopefully it doesn't do the bendy thing when pushed a bit, probably why it isn't aimed at airstyle where you need to hold a good edge to get the height.

On the other side of the coin, it looks and sounds like it will go perfect with the Nugget too, might be right up my alley after all especially seeing as we get a lot of days where the Nugget is king.

Has anyone got a few more pics they want to share, close ups would be nice too, especially if you could put the Dyno next to it for comparison?

cheers,

Robbie :D

Robbie you've probably seen this on the local but what the heck...

Interesting Kite need to demo could update from zephyr Review on Kite Finder: http://www.kitefinder.com/en/kites/1367 ... er-reviews So there I was on the water with 6 to 10 knots wind, a huge twin tip and only foils on the water. The next day everybody was out with 9/10 and 12 m2, and I could still survive with the Juice 18m2 and talk with some friends on the beach while positioning the kite at 12 o clock. Important to know is its performance in low and high end conditions. I haven't tested a kite who let me ride upwind in 6 knots and still lets me practise some old skool board offs in 15+ knots, without hammering your edge and ride fully overpowered It crawls to the far corner of your windwindow which makes the kite playful. (its looses its pressure i you want) but also shoot out of its windwindow if you try no handers ( make sure you pull the pulley a bit to prevent the kite shooting out of its windwindow) The Juice felt stable but still reacted quitte well on steering input. Its just a bit too big for big airtime 'cause it doesn't shoot you off, but you'll still have plenty of seconds up in the air on a lower altitude. Resume: The Juice is a very loose and playful 18m2 up in the market. Easy pull and ride, great upwind, and a true free ride characteristics makes the kite a valuable light wind kite for those days you'll normally spent on the beach.

Thing is some of the comments re airstyle are a bit strange so I'm not sure how trustworthy the review is...not sure about the 3 strut and thinner leading edge thingy though with your weight. But the wind range and turning ability are interesting. Definetely targeting that zephyr market hey, but with sub 10 potential.

works nice!
good lowend - quick turning

cants say anything about relaunch since the water here is still cold i didn´t want to drop the kite...
Hey pndLA what line length did you ride the 15 with on the quad bar, 24m?
Do you think the 18m will be ok on a 24m quad?

Can't wait to demo one of these!

Now that North have put on their website that the wind range for the 15m is 09-17 knts and the 18m is 07-15knts is it really worth having that extra 3m of kite? I am a newby and was going to go for a Zephyr but now that the Juice is out its my obvious choice as I already have the bar and a 11m Rebel. I am around 78kg's any thoughts welcomed! Thanks

I think no matter what way you slice it the bigger kite will give you an extra couple miles per hour on the low end. And also that much more power in the lulls for staying upwind. Is it worth it? Time and time again my 17m Zephyr has gotten me out and riding when others have to watch. Usually in that 9-13mph range. I am also on my 5'8" x 21 3/4 Fish surfboard to achieve this.

So if you value being out there in the lightest wind then yeh get the bigger kite. A bigger kite can get you some fun hang time in the jumps too. It'll bite you though if the wind gusts and surges. Choices...

Many thanks for the help. As the cost difference is minimal it really comes down to what will be best for me and unfortunately I just don't know yet!!!!! I am going to be taking this on a 2 week holiday to Egypt where the wind is generaly no more than 10 - 15knts for much of the daily wind window, for this particularly the 18m seems best choice but wonder if the 15m might be more controllable for a relative newbie!

Let us know how you go Rob. Ours will be here in a couple of weeks and us big kite, addicts will be testing it for sure. You need to to test the kite first hand. When you overlay say a zephyr over say a 17m dyno top he dynos canopy is noticeably larger. So you can't really just go on the markings. I have a dyno 16m 2011 (used to have the zephyr) which my brother still does and the low end is similar although at the real low end the race in the dyno gives it that little bit more. But ultimately they are similar. They said 7 to 19 for this dyno, but really (I'm similar weight) unless you are on an efficient board, even with say a 145 by 44 TT with little rocker, I'm really wanting 11 and up to have any fun.

Depends on what you want to do. If it hits 12 to 15 then on the 15 you will be having a blast! But what will it be like on the 18? But if sub 11 then the 18 will give you more useable sessions.

You gotta pick where you want to ride in its sweet spot.

Or get the 18, get yourself a sub 130 TT and man up!! :D

So it seems that its only the size of my balls that is going to dictate to me which one to go for once I've had a test drive and read a few reviews (probably going to be more reliable than me testing, Lol) As I'm keen to get out in low winds and that is exactly what the kite is for I guess there's not too much sense going with the 15m other than less material to recover when it goes horribly wrong.....
