Cabrinha 2015

Postby MSG » Tue May 20, 2014 6:36 pm

Anyone has any information on Cab 2015 product?
Isn't this the time of year that generally has a lot of leaks about the next year product?
thanks

Would be nice if the companies released products at the same time. Riding 2015 gear halfway through 2014 just doesn't seem right when some companies actually release stuff in the given year.

Also, it was dumb this year that half their 2014 products were released in 2013, and shops only recently the past month were receiving the other half of the 2014 product line.

What I dislike the most is the BS marketing and reviews which really don't do a good job of explaining what really has changed. In some cases, just minor material or color changes.

I continue to test drive as many kites as I can, and clearly there are some differences I can feel but nothing that is a deal breaker.

Probably the biggest gotcha is kite sizing and 12M for one brand is not the same as 12M for another so you have to keep an open mind in terms on "low end power" and other subjective measurements where in actual fact, a 12M brand x is a 13M brand y and they pretty much handle the same.

Give me any 4 line kite optimized for single front line flag out and bridle/trim that works with a low front line V.

Cabrinha has basically been on this release cycle since the introduction of the Bow Kite (XBow)
in Jly/Aug of 2006

I assume that you are not referring to Cabrinha as all our products were released to the market August 1 globally.

That's every single kite in the Cabrinha lineup for 2014 and upcoming...

always trying to improve their product & trying new things, can't blame 'em for that ... did a great job on tweaking-out the poor low end of the 2013 SwitchBlades with prob the best SB's ever in 2014 ... also reduced the need for different sized bars with the adjustable 2014 bars ...

The improved/new Contras got me up and riding much more, when lighter winds last season.
10mtr SB was a beast imo ...

Just waiting to see how they can improve on the 2014 range, which I reckon was one of the best ... maybe only minor tweeks for 2015 - who knows (well Cab Driver does, but official release as he says is not till August - dealers get to find out about now)
