But if you fly this plane and never crash it, treat it with the best care it will still explode.

The front and rear pigtail issue is already documented here already, After a few weeks of use my rear/front pig tails started to eat through the leading edge (I found the repair documented here and fixed it before further damage occurred)..

If the best race rider used the 2013 edge he would have to repair it or after a few weeks call Ozone for another.

Call it anyway you wish. Facts out weigh opinions. If you have one and have not made this fix I wish you the best when call Ozone.

I have a 2013 edge with close to 300 sessions on it that has some threads missing from the outside of the leading edge from some self launches on crusty frozen snow. My 2011 11 meter c4 has over 300 sessions and looks great. All of my kites have been ozone since 2006 and I ride a lot. Never had any issues in all my years. None of my friends have had problems. I think that there is something in the way you treat your kites that made those holes. Jmo

:dontpanic: :advise: There is a serious issue with this post. :coffee:
:desperado: 13 pages with no pictures of the actual pinhole issues on the REO? :redcard:
:shout: Posting a picture would be very useful in diagnosing your pinhole issue. :coolshades:
:hut: I have been riding a 2014 REO everyday for months with zero problems... :nutkick:

Pinholes to me mean very small circular holes, which are different from small abrasions/tears. You can only really see them when you look close or hold the kite up to the sun. If Ozone was using T9600 and recently upgraded to Technoforce, why would the fabric performance be any different than other major brand kites?

Don't really Need the test with battens ; --Switch -- showed worst case scenario

I am the original poster of this post, and I feel like I need to add something. I just spoke to a local kiter-friend here in Miami. Turns out he bought a brand new Ozone and the kite has leaking problems. He contacted Ozone and requested that they replace the kite. (It is brand new) He got the same idiotic response I did. They told him this is normal wear and tear. The person at Ozone he spoke to is Lee, and this is the same guy I spoke to when trying to resolve my issues.

Once again, a brand new kite which turn out to be a lemon/defective.
Once again, Ozone refuses to "man up" to their warranty and respect the money costumers drop on their expensive kites.

This is ridiculous. I would NEVER buy an Ozone product again and will make sure to tell everyone I know about my experience and the experience other people have had with their customer service (or lack off)

Shame on you Ozone!!! Your customer service is a joke to the industry.
