OK final version = taking all the accrued bullshit right out. Buying pad by the foot using the regular windsurfing strap without any extra meat and installing it the way it should be just behind the toe and not any deeper. Case closed, caso cerrado.

Freestyle windsurfers tend to set the straps wide but tight, have their feet in quite far and arch their feet for grip to keep their feet in.

Ah Ronnie, You wrecked it!
We almost had a record for how many consecutive posts a guy has ever posted in his own thread!
The boys had a pool going in the lunch room.

I used to windsurf so I know how to set up windsurfing straps. I am riding the slippers because that's what comes with the kiteboard. The only thing better is the extra padding under the heal but the rest is the mother of all bull. Unless you are into the current fashion I don't know... Anyone concerned with getting injured and especially beginners should go with basic windsurfing set up.
