What is going on at Best Kiteboarding??? Ruben, Alex gone?

Postby Kitemanmuc » Wed Jan 06, 2016 4:47 pm

Ruben Lenten has left, it seems in a bitter way as well. Alex Neto is gone too.
Any ideas on the shakeup? Or who will be joining Best instead?

they build up a strong team...which also costs a lot of money, which one needs to pay...guess sales are not up.

Best did a big change in strategy...moving from a low priced to one of the high end priced brands.

Maybe the former strategy was better?

where did you see lenten being bitter? from his facebook

"Unfortunately this collaboration can no longer help me reach my goals, so here is a big thank you to Best Kiteboarding for making me feel part of the family since day one and supporting my vision the best they could. All efforts have been much appreciated, cheers!"

Not sure why he left, but I have a gut feeling the story on his Facebook is not the whole story.

My guess is that he was unable to perform his sponsorship duties with for Best while battling cancer.

At the end of the day business is business and if you can't perform your job you need to quit. Its not a charity. Its harsh but true. Any one of us with a normal day job would be in the same position if we couldn't perform out daily job responsibilities.

Unfortunate that he fell ill, also that it it happened early in his relationship with a new sponsor. Had he still been with slingshot I bet they would have been pretty supportive. They had substantial history.
