Toby I don't know what solo told you but it's impossible to do image stabilization with a zoom lens without having a bunch of video artifacts. They would have to lock the lens at a focal point and then stabilize it there, and I just don't see them getting rid of the zoom, going back to solo2 style. If you can find a solo3 clip where there's a lot of zooming (where you go straight towards the camera for instance), use your new adobe stabilization program on it, you'll see what I'm talking about it. So far you haven't had clips with this particular problem, they haven't had enough zoom, but if you can find a clip with lots of zooming and shaking apply stabilization you'll see what the problem is. My advice is don't wait for solo3 with stabilization, you can't do it on a zoom lens because of the varying focal length.

thx edt, not waiting for it. Trying now with wind protection and less zoom etc...already better, but won't replace my SS2 and Sony cam. Sad, but what can I do? Will use SS3 just as additional cam for additional POV.

It's a great product no matter what the flaws, well worth the money. I wasn't convinced until I saw all the example videos you guys have been using it looks fantastic.

It is. Just the shaking is a headache. Plus the battery life. 1 hour only? Still no reply from Soloshot about it. Will post when I have a reply.

Still waiting for mine. They were promising a 4 hour battery life. 1 hour is not enough. 2 might be OK. Is there a way to plug in an external battery?

Be gratetful you don't have yours yet ! It can only get better cause it cant get any worse ! Mine only tracks the tag like 20% of the time. 1hr of clean footage would be awesome right now! haha
