Absolute low end on any rig is a snore fest.
10 knots is where the new fun begins. Many can go a lot lower, but for the masses who were used to waiting for 14 knots, that is the new normal. 50-210 lbs makes no difference. Just need the appropriate gear.
I would say that whatever your personal low end, the spread between absolute and fun is largest on a TT, about 1/2 that on a Surfboard and about 1 knot on a foil.

As of this last Saturday, I'd call my "fall off the foil and drop the kite" number about 7 knots. Some of that has to do with kite tune (raggedy old 15m Joker 5 with the Bridle of Frankenstein) and some of it has to do with kite skill. This is on a Sword 2 w/the 57cm curved front wing. More foil + more kite + more skill might lower that number, but that's basically where everything goes t!ts up.
165lbs body weight + wetsuit + gear.

10kts summer 8-9kts winter with a 17m flite and a 165 stylus. 200lbs.
roughly the same range on a foil and the 12m flite, might be able to go lower but my board is so floaty that its hard to get enough in the water to put more tension against the kite to pull me out. well see when i get better

Mine is less than 0-15kts. We have 2 cable parks locally and there is nothing like riding on glass!. We are all so getting a wave garden in Austin about 2 1/2 hrs away from me this summer.

That's true ; but sometimes a wind forecast is wrong , and Mohave is 75 miles
away, Primm is 45miles away for the land buggy, and my closest flying spot is 30 miles away.
I got to pick , ((1)) ; so it's nice to cover the full wind range for the one i pick, and
if that means kiting with a large surfboard , (i will). It's also the reason i fly a lot
more than i kite.
