I guess there is a lifespan of 5 years for Naish control bars? I have no idea how to post a preview link to the video lol

I don't really understand what you are saying, but be careful holding the bar like that. It's dangerous.
Red color means Left, blue is on the Right.

What im saying is that this bar lasted me five years and snapped! So just be prepared to have equipment failure after a certain amount of time. And holding the bar like this is not dangerous when the kite is attached to an anchor.

u should have released the kite once u realized the self launch went bad and the kite was about to relaunch in the power zone you are lucky the bar broke probally the universe's way of saving u from an accident. especially since u were so close to the road.

Was it still attached to anchor when it powered up? tough to tell in vid.If so that would put a lot of stress on bar being attached to a stationary object. But no one got hurt so no biggy! You should have seen the carnage when my bar snapped mid kiteloop! And that is one sketchy launch site, tip of the hat to you! Please try your best to stay alive lol

Some of those Naish bars are garbage even newer models, me and friends have snapped quite a few - all in same place

Some even bend!!! lol like 15 degrees!

I really dislike the way naish use a 10mm wide piece of carbon or maybe "black glass" next to the hole each side to make it look like the bar is carbon - short of you snapping your bar you would never know this - - ohhhhh.... i snapped my bar.... oh now i know... lol

Quality assurance engineers - worth their weight in gold.

LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO UNHOOKED LAUNCHING :-0

1. trim kite so does not backstall
2. launch unhooked
3. dont forget to let go when it goes pear shaped - like let go - ... right now.

Great spot for self launching...

And nice to see people are wrapping the lines around the hand...

Things you can do and things you shouldn't do...

I never liked naish, and hearing about their 5 year lifespan on a control bar just confirms it even more.

And a rocky beach seems like a nice place to get dragged around if your kite accidently hot launches :-?
