Anyone replace their Ride Engine rope slider yet?

Has anyone been following Ride Engine's model and just use your chicken loop straight on the dyneema rope?

If so, how is the wear on your chicken loop so far?

Friends engine line failed after a short amount of time in this config. Stupid.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know which size of SK75 Dyneema it is that RIde Engine uses. I tried looking for the info on the website, but couldn't find it.
Also, what size SK90 are people using?

I use either 1/4" or 3/8" they both work fine

sorry, probably some dumb questions:
what gives you less abrasion? a thicker or smaller rope?
5 mm as proposed by ride engine?
what would be the disadvantage of a bigger rope eg 3/8" (9mm)? if the bigger the less abraison....
may I have to drill a bigger hole in the carbon spreaderbar...

For minimum abrasion you want a thicker rope with the smallest Antal ring that will easily pass it. But I think, given how long ours are lasting, that it's not worth worrying about too much. As long as you have REAL Amsteel line, that is.

To answer your question, I am going to be using this. Haven't had a chance to try it on the water yet but as I'm going to Tarifa next week I'm hoping to use it then.
