Hi all
Interested in the weight of different kitesizes in the SAME kiteseries.
So if some could weigh their kites (dry without lines/bar but with bridles if present), one decimal is fine no matter if kg or lbs ?
Important thing is they are from same year and are equal meaning same number of struts.
As often the smallest 4 or 5m2 has less struts, and the really big sizes are made "lighter" so avoid these then, or write that it has two struts less or whatever the difference.
I got two myself, a 7 and a 9m2 from same year I will weigh later.
You dont have to write the brand or name of the kite, does not matter - as it is NOT about light kites nor heavy kites (each has their huge advantages in terms of being able to cope with tough conditions or not, and last)
The more sizes you got in the very same series, the better the information will be of course.
But the weight of different sizes same model, t.ex
Same series same year 5 strut kite:
7m2 2.8kg
9m2 3.4kg
Just an example.
Great with a forum like this for this very thing, should be possible to find the correlation(s) this way quite fast, if some want to help a bit
Thank you !
Peter
