Flysurfer boost compared to ozone edge?

The Ozone Bar will fit I guess. Flysurfer using low V, and single front line safety as well. The Infinity bars comes with 21 M lines and maybe you have ca. 1 meter extra on the bridle so it will give ca. 22 M. I am using the 11 M with 2 or 3 meter extensions and the 15M with 4m extension as I used to the 24-25M line lenght, so a 24 or 25 meter Ozone lines could be fine.

Heh, when I asked about Boost 1 vs Boost 2 earlier I got the impression that they were very similar and the main difference was just the fancier valve.

Boost 1 is a very nice kite, with a deeper profile I guess. I did not liked the bar feel on the lightest bar setting as well, but it works quite ok with the standard set up which is the middle.
The Boost 1 is just as stable as the Boost 2 concerning kite stability and drift. The difference is really the bar feel which is certainly more loose (can be called shakey) on the Boost 1 then on the Boost 2.
When I used Boost 1 I used to pump some 6.5 and 7 psi. On the Boost 2 there is chart and for example the 11 M has to be pumped at 8.9-9.3 PSI as far as I remember.
Probaly the Boost 1 11 needs it as well and will be less shakey I guess. Even though the Boost 2 has better bar feel, which feels more direct. However there is an interview with the designer who explains the diferences on the Boost 2 better than me.

Hi,

last week I did just test the Ozone Edge (latest version) in 13sqm. Usually Im riding a Boost2 15 + 11 sqm. Here is my opinion:

- Lift: Edge is slightly more dynamic
- hangtime: both are equal
- windrange: here the Boost really makes the difference, you can ride the 15 from 5 to 30 knots, thats unique. The Edge only from 10 to 20 like a usual kite
- start: boost better due to backstart performance with the special bridle
- speed/agility: both are quite agile and turn similar
-price: boost more expensive
- Set-Up: takes longer to get the boost ready and pack it as it has more bridles/lines/etc
- Durability: Edge is better as Boost is lighter

So I think it is a fair package, the Boost is better due to the windrange performance, but it more expensive. If you kite in changing conditions the Boost might even pay out with a 2 kite strategy. But if you are most of the time at the same spot you are better off with the Edge.

I never tried one, but I always understood the Genetrix Hydra was/is unique in its bridled canopy LEI design and the windrange...
Seems that flysurfer has essentially copied this idea in their boost?

Not quite sure I'm understanding your logic there. Edge is known to be pretty fragile. Haven't heard of any problems with the Boost and Flysurfer is well known for building durable kites.

Last year I managed quite a few session on the Boost2 13M and it is quite a nice kite. Turns really fast and loops pretty nicely. Compared to the Edge V8 13M which I rode only twice, the Boost turns and loops way better and has better drift as well. I think the Boost has bit more C shape and a bit deeper profile so it does fly slightly deeper in the windwindow. The Edge felt more like a race kite and the Boosts felt more like a high performance freeride kite. I think the Edge would win over the Boost on the courserace, especially upwind, but for freeriding the Boost is more fun, especially comparing the 13 meter Size. I used the Boost 2 13M mostly with an Ozone bar 54cm.
