This month started with the Tarifa Strapless Pro. Epic action and a buzzing venue, the event was a huge success, especially for North Team riders. The World Kite Tour Youth Cup 2016, hosted by Camping La Ballena Alegre in Costa Brava, Spain saw the 'next generation' of young riders showcase their riding skills and battle it out for a place on the podium. Team Bridge set four World Records last week, racing around the Isle of Wight on hydrofoil boards and foil kites. North Kiteboarding and PIQ have announced the availability of their product dedicated to kiteboarding. Rugged, waterproof, shockproof, corrosion resistant and easy to use, get ready to challenge yourself and your friends with the new action sport tracker. Tarifa Strapless Pro

Five days of intense competition rounded off the Tarifa Strapless Kitesurfing Pro, getting the 2016 GKA Wave & Strapless Freestyle Tour off to an intense start. With this style of riding becoming ever more popular and new tricks being invented each day by the world's most progressive riders, one year on from last years event we knew we could expect to see great things; maybe even some strapless handle-passes on surfboards.

Youth PKRA Costa Brava Spain

The World Kite Tour Youth Cup 2016 was held at Camping La Ballena Alegre in Costa Brava, Spain. An incredible spot for hosting an event, the thermal winds deliver a steady 12-20 knots; perfect for the lighter, younger riders. With 47 kiteboarders rolling in from 17 nations, event organizer Panxo Pi Suner say's “I deeply believe in the philosophy of sharing, integrating and learning being the cornerstones for their future athlete lives.”

Team Bridge sets four World Records

International kiteboarders Steph, Olly and Guy Bridge have long been pioneering the foil racing movement, and more recently they've been setting records on the yachting mecca of the Isle of Wight. Not only do the family members who hail from Exmouth make up Team Bridge, but the trio of extremely driven athletes is also part of Team Volvo*. On Thursday 30th June, they set four World Records racing around the Isle of Wight on hydrofoil boards and foil kites.

PIQ officially released

Riders will now have access to a powerful and wearable product that provides live innovative metrics, reflecting the height of jumps, air time, G force at landings, rotations, number of jumps and total air time. In addition to detailed session statistics, riders can be part of the PIQ community, where they can challenge their friends, compete against other kiteboarders from across the globe, and partake in a leaderboard of North Kiteboarding and PIQ.

'This is what I am made of Video.' - Iceland

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Nuria Goma, her background isn't that of the average kiteboarder. Turning 30, she left her job of 10 years in the banking industry to chase her dream of becoming a pro rider. Not one to follow a tour or the crowd, she can often be seen heading off to remote and untapped locations to explore and discover. We caught up with her following the release of her latest video 'This is what I am made of: Iceland.'
