same here, out of the box difference in length is about one inch. I guess like Teabageppo that this is calculated to even out the innitial shrink effect of that backlines.

It is normal that you have to crank the bar to full power when checking your line length on land.

If your bar is correctly set up, all lines should be the same length when the bar is fully sheeted in at maximum trim.
Any less than that, and your front lines should be longer than the back lines.

Yes that's normal. Also, open the Adjuster completely.

If you bar is correctly set-up, i.e. all four lines of equal length when at maximum power, if you fix all four lines at the same point, you won't have any back line tension if you aren't at full power.
In other words, your lines could be perfect, but you have you trim at half power, so you feel your back lines are slack.

Can some one tell me what's the correct "Y" split for north kites on the click bar? Is it the highest split?

The only changes to the Iron Heart V are:
1. The use of the ceramic bearings to allow the auto-unwinding mechanism to spin with very little friction and
2. the shape of the suicide ring/"U" on the chicken loop. By fitting snugly into the metal "U" the suicide ring is kept from hanging down to the middle of the chicken loop, making rehooking after an unhooked maneuver a little easier.
Hi Dan-at-North (or anyone in the know :D ), could you please precise a detail about this: will the new "U" shape of the 2018 chicken loop fit in the preceding version of the Iron Heart (I use a 2014 bar, so I believe it is Iron Heart IV)?? It looks like the 2018 CL "U" metal part is just elongated to allow for the new suicide ring, so it should retrofit in Iron Heart IV... right?

Looking forward to the answer to this because that new 2018 suicide ring looks awesome!
Cheers
