Hey Alexrider did Revl ever get back to you???
I take it as a NO, as Revl didn't bother to come on here and give an update either. So strange as the founder is a kiter isn't he?........and marketing heavily to kiters?
I think BigBafana is correct about the red flags. The Revl post I saw yesterday on Facebook was for a non-functional promo code.
Man I hope you guys at least get your $$$ back.......that sucks.
Well, here's to hoping the Garmin Virb Ultra 30 is a winner.

I ordered one and forgot to order an extra battery and line mount at the time. Sent them an email and have had a few back from them answering questions. Last reply was on the 28th June when I was told I could order stuff through their new website.
Late news update on the website was May so they have gone very quiet. Fingers crossed it happens cos it seems to be great bit of kit.

Post the results of the communication. My gut tells me again that the guy is useless/clueless/full of hot air/or just giving up now, but if it turns out to be a scam then his professional career is hopefully also ruined. At least he got to meet Richard Branson.
Have you seen the new action cam, the Garmin Virb Ultra 30, which basically does everything the arc does?
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2393732&hilit=Action+camera.....Edit: Just saw that Poacher already mentioned it.
It actually invalidates the arc.

Got an email reply from them yesterday saying everything was on track to fulfill orders at the end of the year as planned.
At least they're still around!

The Virb Ultra 30 doesn't invalidate the arc at all.
The arc has an integrated gimbal to correct camera rotations (roll), which is perfect when you place the camera in the lines or on the kite. The problem of the kiteline mount and the strut mount with standard camera is that the camera is always rotating, but these point of views are great. The only reason they are not used more is this camera rotation problem, it requires lot of manual editing if you want to get watchable long sequences. This camera with integrated roll gimbal is supposed to fix this problem.
The Garmin Virb Ultra 30 has tons of integrated sensors which in theory would also allow correcting rotations automatically (in post-processing, not directly with integrated gimbal like the arc). But unfortunately, currently Garmin doesn't allow exporting the computed "roll" data from their sensors which would allow such thing. The only thing you can export is the raw sensors data, which needs tons of adjustments and correlations to produce accurate "roll" data usable for automatic video rotation correction.

Yeah there is some huge upside to the Revl Arc's motorized internal gimbal to auto rotate and image stabilize. I wasn't too blown away by some of the Garmin's electronic image stabilization from review vids I've watched. I mean it's better than GoPro with nothing.
So we'll see. That's good news someone got a response from Revl. Maybe it will happen.

I wanted to bump this thread to see if anyone has taken delivery of their preorder Revl Arc?
The last update I saw indicated a holiday order.
Any buyers/recipients?

Now it's showing June delivery - would be very surprised, if they actually start deliveries at all
