Ocean Rodeo News:

Stick Shift Control Bar & 4 other exciting new products at Surf Expo!
or 1 1.jpg
Ocean Rodeo Stick Shift featuring R3 Designs' internal trim adjustment.

Fine tune your kite’s trim using one easily reached and adjusted control knob. Small, quarter turn increments add power; bump or nudge to depower. Intuitive and easy to use by any size rider and ensures you have ‘hands on’ control when depowering the kite.

The unique, lightweight U shaped bar design ensures rapid flushing of all sand and debris while offering easy inspection and access to all moving parts for in-the-field repairs.

Our adjustable sliding stopper ball needs no special tools or set screws to hold in place and can be adjusted while on the water or riding. Stick Shift internal trim adjustment means no front line swivels, no rings, no cleats, no flopping trim line that’s forever out of reach. It also means the front lines are clear for a safe and secure front line re-ride every time.

The new bar looks promising, seems simpler than North's Click bar.

Sweet gear. I am ordering a 7 m, 9.5 m Roam wave kite, Mako Duke 2.0, and Stick shift bar. Love the Orange.

Do-it, I *think* that the boys will be doing a demo. They hadn't booked the flights to let them do one but then the weather turned for the better (windier) so I think they might consider re-booking.

Alford, thanks! As the patent record will show we've been working on this project for 4 or 5 years now. It's been a loong road but we are here and I am pumped to see it on the market. We are accepting early bird signups on our website now for our 1st production run that is reserved for those signups, the media and our dealers for demo. Full availability will be by Christmas. Can't comment on the North bar specifically but we focused with every opportunity to keep the design clean, easy to maintain and open so that debris would flush easily and parts could be inspected and maintained.

If the bar is easy to take to pieces, clean, and re-assemble then that's a definite plus.

The open U shape allows for very easy part exchange and cleaning as well as inspection of all moving parts. I will take some photos and post...

The Jester looks fantastic with the carbon deck.
Five fin box is a great addition to both boards, my mate rides SB 100% tried the new Duke (thruster set up with front fins in the front boxes), really liked it. It feels a bit looser when pushed and drives upwind better. Yet to try the quad set up.
But if you're aggressive in the waves try the Jester, light snappy little beast of a thing. For smooth lines try the Duke. Both great in the chop.

Good quality 5x honeycomb with carbon base future fins on both boards.

The multi tool included works well too.
