Yes, interesting, though not quite a "ripped" bladder. I guess especially useful if the leak/rip is on or close to the edge although it might be possible to weld whole patches of an old bladder for instance on. I am bound to try it out one day.

Interesting technique, but duct tape??? The duct tape obviously distorts the shape of the repaired bladder. The tape would stress the area around its perimeter, probably increasing the risk of a future pinch leak.
A better technique is to heat seal a new piece of bladder material onto the hole. Use either an iron or heat sealer. If the patch requires reinforcement, use aquaseal along the seams.

Sure, duct tape
Also known as 200mph tape, should work up until that speed at least.....

I have Pu film with a thermoplastic adhesive on it that melts at a lower temperature than the pu film. I played around with it a bit in May. It seems to work great for patching large holes. The issue is getting the iron temperature just right. I used a waxing iron like we sell on the
http://www.Kiteaid.com website set on low. I also used a heat shield made from silicone paper in between the iron and patch. This film is definitrly easier to manipulate than monster patches because its adhesive side is not tacky until heated. Thoughts? Should i sell this stuff?
