guys I just sold one of my boards as it was a few years old and I wanted to upgrade. I currently have a 155x44 Ocean Rodeo Origin Lite, a 135x41 Axis Vanguard, does it make sense to replace my board I sold at 144x44 for a 139x42 or 140x42 twin tip? All these boards are twin tip. I used the 144x44 for light wind, but not sure if the 135x41 is to close to a 139 or a 140 board? Is this a waste of money? I found a nice board at a good price, size 139x42. I considered maybe a Directional or something different?

In tt's my suggestion would be light wind TT, your everyday rectangular tipped TT around the 135x41 size, then wave/carving orientated TT or mutant. Cabrinha tronic, axis twin wave, or mako around the 145x45 sizing.
Obvious there are a tone of other boards out there to try, skims, surboards, foil boards and everything in between.
Me. I have the light wind TT, mutant wave TT and am making myself a hydro foil.

I recently started with a wave TT and am loving it for general use too. Maybe something to add to your quiver.. Check out Nomad's wave twinny.

3 boards:
- convertible wave/hydrofoil board (F One Mitu convertile or Zeeko Slash kind)
- light wind directional when not enough depth for hydrofoiling
- twintip with deep concave when winds howling and seas choppy, also for pure carving (OR Mako)
Don't "consider" directional and hydrofoil. Do it; you won't regret.

You're acting like 1cm of length makes a difference in a TT. It doesn't. Personally, I really like my current 3 board quiver; 5'4" Vanguard 90% of my riding. 5'10" Global for when the waves are more than double overhead or OH and barreling. Monk for when the hurricanes come through and it really starts blowing.
