do I want to hold my 6m to 50 knots? no. above 45 its not really enjoyable anymore. But as stated i'd love a 5m but can't justify the expensive for the 2-3 days of kiting per year I miss out on because my 6 is too big!...
Dude, you only ride a TT. You commenting on surf kites and wave kiting is like Donald Trump on foreign policy.
And, although I'm not fortunate enough to have 30+ kt winds regularly, 2-3x overhead and strapless is my normal conditions.
Actually I'm riding a mutant specifically designed for riding monster waves in 30+ knots. Its good to hear you ride up to triple head strapless. Unlike kamizuka at least you have some wave experience to call on even if it isn't in high winds.
If you rode with me at the top end of the conditions I fly in you wouldn't be mocking my experience.
Now why would you prefer a storm kite to a wave kite in 6m conditions? I love my 6m reo in crazy conditions, Its fast, has a tone of depower can handle 20 knots swing easily, drifts like a mofo and can take a ridiculous amount of wind.
It doesn't collapse launches and relaunches fast and super easy. I'm struggling to see why you would need a storm kite for wave riding when the wave kite is fantastic for wave riding in high winds.
Now if you wanted to boost 40 plus knots. Chuck the wave riding kite in the back of the car, get some boosting storm munching kite and boost. I would love a storm boosting monster.
