Not if you have a 3-5m swell smashing up against a boulder wall which is what I had this morning. Had to launch in behind the surf club walk around the power lines, kite over flying buildings down the boulder wall time for a lull into the sets to get in the water.......then fly close to the boulder wall until I made enough upwind to get a safe distance...........

All I'm saying is its not always possible.
