I just bought one of these for Christmas... http://kitesurfmount.com/ It's made using a 3D printer which is pretty cool.
I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but when I do I'll write a quick review.
As far as videos are concerned, the poster above who said you have to plan ahead in order to make a good video is totally correct. It's hard work, but worth it. I always have lots of "great ideas" for videos, but usually end up not wanting to spend the editing time required to do it. I haven't been at this long, but if you want to see how some of them turned out have a look at my playlist here... https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... hZcjtCMm74

I am sure it will work ok, but it tends to have pretty short "arms" which increases the risk if messing up your lines if you ever lose tension (kite crashes, self launch, etc..

Thanks for the warning. I'll try to stay aware of that, and will do some test ejections in a safe place to see what happens.

It depends on what you are trying to achieve and see in your vids. If it's just basic riding and nothing special, wider views are fine, but get redundant after a while. Strut mounts are my lest favorite due to a small subject.

If you want to show specific moves or details. then line mounts show the rider really well. Getting multiple views is important for breaking things up, but it take more time and planning.

Got my hands on the Beastmount Line mount and I must say; AWESOME. I love how quick and easy it is to get it on and off your lines.

Highly recommended if you want a line mount.
