So does that mean if you boost 30m up into the air but muff the landing, you didn't actually leave the water...?

In my book if you don't land it. It's a crash not a successful jump.

So the leaving the water and the flying through the air is just incomplete crashing? And and a flying through the air and touching the board on the water must be an unsuccessful crash in you book :D

And be sure to post up the replies when you tell the Woo leaders like Langaree and Hadlow their jumps "don't count" because you didn't see their landings :D

What's this obsession with the highest woo jump ? Why try go higher and higher ? This is kitesurfing, you play on the water mostly. It won't be long until someone hits 45m and dies on impact landing. If you want to go higher, take up paragliding.

Go on burn me...

What is your problem? Don't read posts about jumps.

Its pretty standard rules of any airtime/trick competition of any sport in the world. If you crash land your jump/trick doesn't count as a successful jump. You must land it to call it a successful

Those are the rules I apply to myself.

So if Langaree and hadlow crash on their 30m jump landings then yes in my book its a fail. However I suspect those dudes land their jumps almost every time.

People will always want to push the limits. Max height will always be pushed by a number of talented dudes whether you like it or note. Accept it and enjoy the silliness.

Do I want to do a 45m high jump? No. I'm quite happy with 10m ish. But oen day I may take up paragliding and speed flying because that looks real cool too.
