I've considered buying a set of waterproof radios for trivial reasons as well...
There's been times when I'm kiting and see my buddy heading to the beach.
Is he calling it a day or just getting a bigger kite?
I think having a way to communicate could prove a life-saver as well.
Just my 2 cents.

Hi,
The BB-talking works great but the range is actually quite limited. I would say it starts cracking up from around 400 meters. Otherwise they work great.
Just buy any cheap brand walkies, they dont have to be waterproof and put them in a Aquapac, you can even put the radios in a ziploc into the aquapac, sounds comes through clear.
Good luck
