Wondering, if time permits...if you could quickly swap the board over from your leading left hand to your right backhand. Then use the free left hand to enact a proper downloop? ...using a stopper to reduce the bar throw in the instant you change over the board (no hands on the bar).... ? Thoughts?

I don't think it is a good idea

Let's see if he can make it to KOTA in time! Would be a loss for sure!
Possibly going for the arse bail out is for lesser mortals like us.... that said if I went for every sketchy landing, I would be on crutches permanently.

As he's in an airboot (not back-slab or full cast), there's a chance he will recover in time.

he has been there...and should avoid everything to get injured like that again.
He is mortal and going big and powerful and not being 20 requires crashing techniques. I hope he learned from this one and it won't happen again.

Being in a competition is different....there a rider pushes more...and it can happen, but not if you are training....then no problem to crash. Even if you really want to land a new trick...been there quiet some times...but an injury is not worth it...at one point I gonna land it anyway.
