North PIQ Advice Help...

I just received the Norht PIQ sensor for a gift, downloaded the app on my android phone, attempted to connect to the sensor with the app on the phone, got a message to download an update for the sensor, and the download just shuts down at 29% and locks up the app,.. Total Fail.
Anyone have experience with this device. Can't get the app to work with the sensor straight out of the box, Email support got one basic response and a copy of the manual. Not very helpful. Really disappointing at this point. Any help would be much appreciated

keep retrying. syncing is also sometimes scetchy. but the device works allright, just the data transmission is painful.

Do a really long charge (overnight) and then try again.

Failing that contact PIQ - I love mine...

ahh and also always try to sync/update firmware with piq plugged in.

Thanks for the response I must have tried 50 times every time it craps out at 29% simple will not complete the download so won't connect making it useless

Try uninstalling the app then re-install.
I Have uninstalled the app and reinstalled multiple times, also installed it on another device, same problem, when I attempt to connect to the sensor, it forces to download the update, update always drops connection at 29%.
I did get a response from North PIQ, they said I may have a bad sensor? and will send a new sensor at their earliest convenience?.
I can only wait for the new sensor? I have no idea when they will send it, there is no one to talk to and they have not responded to me last email to send a tracking number. More or less confirms my feeling that this product is not ready for market.
Let you know what happens if I even get a replacement sensor, I'll give it a week if I don't hear back from North PIQ I will try and get a refund from Amazon.

Well Got the new sensor sent to be by PIQ support, Followed instructions as per the manual, Fully charged sensor, newly installed app, prompted to download update to sensor, start update and drops connection exactly at the same spot 29% wont connect no phone number for support.
I certainly appears there's a problem with the current app crashing out at 29% when running download. Anyone got any suggestions

Try it with a different phone or an iPad or something? Do the sensor update from another device.

Kjorn, Yes I already tried that same issue using another 3 different devices, 2 tablets and another android phone all crash at 29%, I did try download another app the Skiing app, that allowed me to download the update, however it keeps dropping the connection to the sensor when I try to use the sensor.
It appears that there is a problem with the North app it wont download the update but there is also a problem with the sensors.
This is one big shit show, I'm going to return, This is a real Piece of Garbage Shame on North Kiteboarding for putting their name on it.
