Has anyone tried the new sliding spreader bar from dakine?
Does any other sliding bar work with a dakine harness?
What are people's preferred models?

I use the new Dakine OPTION spreader bar since October on a Dakine C-1 harness and it works perfect.
If you have any specific questions , just ask.

Have you tried other sliders? How does it compare?
Have you had any problems with it?

never had a problem with it, I use it without the hook, with a Smoothy (ring) only. Love the eye for the down hold webbing.
So far had : Mystic 2 Faces harness, RideEngine, did try ION, Jay, Dakine Maniac and Liquid Force spreader bars on different Dakine hanresses.
Think that LiquidForce, RideEngine, Dakine work all the same ( as long you use them with a ring ) the Dakine works on most harnesses .

Why did you get rid of the hook?

Hi handy, what is a smoothy ring mate. (low friction ring?)
I like the look of the Option bar, I've been tieing knots to attach the rope on my cut off Dakine bar for years.
I'm thinking of getting a pair of Nitrous shorts with an Option bar.
