:thumb: True never had a kite with a swivel that works 100%, if anything because of it's position high above the bar the F-One swivel works better than most but far from perfect.

I started kiting before swivels were fitted on front lines and must admit is one of the reasons I can perform all my tricks both ways.

I used Slingshot kites for 8 years (2005 to 2013) with the large plastic/fiber swivel over the bar. It didn't work every time but was close enough to reach with the hand and unwind it if necessary.

Have they improve it so that it works better now?

Nope it's the same design, even if the plastic moulding has changed slightly through the years. I've posted about it before and still appear to be the only person that doesn't have problems with swivels :D
I just give it a rinse before launching my kite and make sure it spins with very little friction, then forget about it until the next session. Once in a while I forget to rinse/twist it before going out and it doesn't swivel, but I can usually manage to dunk it while the kite's still flying and twist the crud out of it by turning the trim line around in circles, then I'm good to go.

The only swivel I've had that doesn't work at all is the switch one, even when brand new it's never untwisted my lines. But their below the bar swivel is awesome so it's never been a problem.

Nice and easy, no tools or parts required.

Hi I note this video was taken down very recently. Is there a reason? Does the mod work and the yellow ball strong enough to do the trick. Could you pm me info please. Many thanks.

The system works and the yellow ball is strong enough. F-One had concerns the flagging would not work properly with larger kites 10m+ which is true as the mini 5th line has only 5m throw so I took it down.
Anyway the video served it's purpose and has now no reason to be as for 2018 all their kites flag on one line :)

Yeah but many still have the old bars some of which are practically new so would've nice for fine to reward their loyal customers by offering the parts for sale to upgrade your exisisting bar so that they fly in the new kites properly with full use of the safer safety!

Hi Windmaker,

Would you be able to share with me the video privately via message. I have 3 F-one bars that I need to change and bought one even the beginning of the year so still new, but with the old system. Not prepared to buy new bars just yet as they still in good condition.

Would much appreciate it.
Kind Regards
Ralph
