Awesome! This is how F-one should have already done it.

That't nice. That's pretty much same design on star bar.

Isn't there a risk to break the yellow stopper ball now that it's pretty much holding all the tension on that line?

Also why wasn't the bar set like that?
I have been suspecting they are not doing a full flag because bridle can get caught in wingtip as you reset bar and kite rotate from flag position to relaunch position...

Anyway that's worth a shot, it's really a pain to reset when kite isn't totally flagged.

Good points! Yellow ball looks strong but I am pretty light (65kg) so not well qualified to test it's resistance, I have seen similar balls used on other kites.

Older models F-One Bandit had really long bridle lines but latest generations (Bandit 2012. and after) have bridle lines shorter than most kites using similar systems

Yeah easy to mod bandit to flag to one frontline. But.. Does it work any better? Bandit is not designed to flag on one frontline. Sure the 2 frontline flag is bad but is 1 even more dangerous? I would love to see videos how bandit flag on one frontline in different winds and roll-overs

That's what I am thinking there must be a reason they didn't switch to 1 line safety, must not work with delta shape and current bridle.

Seems like their new Furtive bar has 1 line safety:

There were a few instance where I was holding the kite by 1 center line and it did roll over a few times from flag position when wind hit it randomly. I was doing a water landing because not enough room on beach.

I think this is a good step to a safer system, BUT one important step still is missing.
The swivel (as most don't) isn't working. Which means any looping will give crossed front lines. I guess it only needs about 3 or 4 loops in the same direction and the one line flag out safety is back to a 2 line safety again.
Solution is -as some other brands have- a way (just above the chicken loop) to detwist the front lines by turning it manually.
I know only of the Click bar of North which does it by it self.

I was thinking that single line flag-out should work on any kite, but it appears Cabrinha (who also recently switched from mini-fifth to a single line) lists the newer bars as incompatible with the mini-5th-designed kites. I'd assume it's a safety issue and not just because they also switch the Y to a V on the bar.

pretty sure no swivel works. my solution is f-- the swivel. If your lines get twisted I think that means you need to learn doing tricks both ways :-) You can also do downloop transitions to fix the lines, it's not too hard to keep your lines from too many twists. The manual twisting down by the chicken loop is best but really anything is better than the current technology of the swivel. As for the cabrinha thing here's my guess. They are lazy. That's it. In order to make sure that the new bar would work with the old kites they would have to go into the shed and blow up all these old kites, fly them around, make sure the kites work, make sure the safety works or . . . . or they can just say "Doesn't work!" without bothering to test them. So I think that's it they are too lazy to test old kites with their new bar. They leave it to us to test them. They should work, right but you'll have to find out yourself.

:thumb: True never had a kite with a swivel that works 100%, if anything because of it's position high above the bar the F-One swivel works better than most but far from perfect.

I started kiting before swivels were fitted on front lines and must admit is one of the reasons I can perform all me tricks both ways.
