Oh the irony of posting off-topic comments about off-topic posts :lol:
Exactly. Neither warranted reply. Yours does though :rollgrin:

Ffs not been kiting lately !?

Anyways had a good chat with Bully who's been testing the 8 & 9m in CT - he commented the V9 was faster turning than the V8 and generally felt easier to boost up to 18-20m & importantly a lot easier to heli loop down

Looks like the V8 supply is drying up. Plat member savings of about $80

https://kiteboarding.com/proddetail.asp ... 8_size_bar

The plat thing:

The small stuff typically 5-20+ off. The kites $100 and up off. So if you buy stuff often; it's worth it.

Yup,

Got my 10m last week. Kite is really well made, very similar construction to my V7.

I weight 115kg at the moment :( but thought i'd give it a go in 15-20 knots.

I am at work so will be quick;

Turning - bar pressure is higher than the V7 which is nice as the v7 was quite hard to feel where the kite was in the sky. The kite turns MUCH better and sent loops work just fine, backloop kiteloops are nice too, the kite powers through the turn, maintaining pressure so you get a nice whip from the kite.

Jumping - Better than the v7. I had my woo on and while others who were significantly lighter than me were on 12's, 15s, and one guy on a 12 Chrono 1 and one guy on a 15 Chrono 2. I managed 9.5m, with a few jumps over 8.5m and a couple more in the 9m range. I was REALLY surprised by this, as this kind of height, off choppy water with no waves in that kind of wind is astonishing when you consider my weight. I can't wait to get it out in 30 knots now as it will be a rocket ship!

straight line speed is excellent but as it was choppy it's hard to judge.

3 other people flew it and were equally impressed.

All in all I am super stoked with the kite and as I've said, can't wait to get it out in the winds I bought it for.
