Core Kite Skim?

What skimboard is this dude using in this awesome video?

He's got a Creatures of Leisure stomp pad on it and it has the Core Kiteboarding "O" on the bottom. It's a carbon skim with quad fin + a nose fin.

I don't see any kite skims listed on Core's website though.

The skimboard I’m using is a custom skimboard made by a friend of mine.

The board is made out of carbon and kevlar with a high density foam core.

Pretty much indestructible!

If you want some more info send me a message on my Facebook page.

hey there,

looks like a wake surfboard to me.

its a fancy skimboard basically

edit: my "on a budget" solution from last summer: a ZAP pro skimboard, drilled holes in it, epoxy, twin tip bolts and fins. done.

take care :bye:

Halloi,

Are your fins parallel to the center line or offset? I assume you are happy with the performance.

No that's an Exile skimboard, made to be pulled behind boats. They quit making them due to lack of demand a few years back. Glad to see someone shredding on one and making it look good!

they are offset, I just drew a center line to have the same degree offset on both sides. front fin is center obviously.
I love taking out my skimboard for a kite session every once in a while, its how I first started kitesurfing actually, helped me a ton when I moved on to strapless surfboards. :thumb:

I've been intentionally abusing this Vision prototype for about 5 years now and it's indestructable as far as I can tell.
Honeycomb pastic core with carbon overlay by Buddha Bonifay in Daytona Beach, Florida. He's still making boards so let me know if you want his info.

That's not an Exile, I ride an Exile skim when kiting and behind the boat.

Exile also have a line of wake specific boards now you can check them out here https://exilewake.com/

I love my Exile skim for kiting because with the carbon layup it's feather light and sticks to my feet like glue for strapless airs.

That is one damn fine looking custom skim though.
