Cabrinha Fireball update

Postby dejavu » Thu Mar 09, 2017 12:54 am

So with fireball being on sale now for a number of months I would like to hear the pro's and con's from personal users as opposed to company riders, dealers etc.

Does it work? Is it better than the Chicken Loop? Would you recommend?

I would love to hear whether it really helps with ribs soreness. The fact that attachment point is closer to body it should really help avoid spreader bar biting into the ribs because there is less leverage.
Though I haven't had an issues rib wise since April.

How can you even ask that? You do know it is a game-changer, right?😱

Man, I just love the rope spreader on my dynabar! I specially like it on those times when you are on the beach taking a break or if you have to walk back upwind on a lightwind day. Here is a quick vid of a boost with the spreader bar I'm using...I've never had rib issues:

haven't tried it but if it was bad you'd be hearing all about it given they're recent history. sometimes no news is truly good news. I'd bet it's a fine system with some great characteristics, perhaps not a game changer but what really is?

With my kids kiting we have three harnesses and 6 bars for our 7 Cab kites. Switching to the fireball would be very expensive, to fix what?

There has been a couple of threads on FB reviews
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2394392&hilit=fireball
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2394587&p=954735&hi ... ll#p954735

Everyone I know who has gone to it really like it especially in the surf. They have replaced their sliders with FB and actually prefer the FB.

I like the Fireball. Is it a "game changer"? No. Is it good? Yes. I won't go back to a regular spreader bar unless something better comes along.

Pimp warning, we sell Cabrinha, Ozone, Naish, Ocean Rodeo, Dakine, Mystic, NP, etc. I could use any bar and I paid my dealer price as I do for all my gear. I'm not sponsored. No special discount. But just for full disclosure...

Thanks SSK. I read the Facebook links and it gave some further insights.
