CR:X Class News:
CR:X Class is proud to appoint a new Executive Secretary
The board of the CR:X Class are pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Gowers as Executive Secretary for the Class.
Richard will take over the day to day running of the class association helping it develop around the globe.
“I am really excited to have been appointed in this new role and look forward to working with all riders around the world to grow this New Kiteboarding Class on an international level.
The ability for riders to be on the same equipment is a revelation within kite racing – it pits rider against rider, on affordable and easy to race equipment.
We plan to bring the fun back into kite racing, assisting riders to concentrate on growing and developing their skills rather than pushing expensive technical equipment.”
Richard’s experience is extensive in his role of Chairman/CEO at British Kitesports Association (BKSA) for 10 years where he gained sports recognition and governing body status as well as race directing and organising events over the past 20 years. He also held a voluntary role of Chairman of the IKA between 2009-13 in which he saw kiteboarding briefly enter the Olympic arena.
