NO WAY: THE NATO WINS!
The “Traversata”, the Continent Island Gps 2017, scheduled on july 26-30 in the Messina Channel was CANCELLED.
The reason, a cause of force majeure: the passage of the atomic USS submarine Black
Fisher (SSN-785) in the waters of the Strait in the days of the event.
The stop to the event meets to the NDMUS, the NATO Navy Forces Division,
constraining all members, adherents to respect the naval traffic in international waters.
"This decision sets in fact by the US Navy leaves us puzzled and saddened - said Agostino Martino,
inside the organizing committee - when the most reasonable solution would be to
switch the unit to the west of Sicily. This spoils a party celebrating the 10 years of the traversata"
