New carbon board by Ruben Lenten at 1099 Euros
www.len10.com
Do people actually believe they can jump just like Ruben by purchasing this board? For that price you can buy a last year kite, bar and board...

Carved Imperator is 1300 Euros, I think you can get a 100 euro discount on len 10. For a limited edition it seems to be priced well, though the rocker and flex is probably oriented toward advanced rider...
Having said that I paid $200 for my last board

There are always folk with too much money. I got a demo custom carbon board from Long Ocean (Ray Long's custom boards) in Cape Town for $300. Not as fancy as Lenten's Captain Carbon, but works for me. Feels indestructible, which is important as I broke my previous fibreglass board in half there.

Jerome did you score your Nobile 50/50 for $200???!!
If yes, nice going!
In general, aren't most high end twin tips in the $800 range? Or am I just looking at North's boards...
Seems like anything carbon will be in that general price.
Yeah boards are expensive but to me are a better investment than kites. Kites really seem to tank after having a birthday used or new. Boards less so.
I am one that spent a ton on a Carved carbon, but it really is a great riding board. So far it is the best board that I've ever ridden. (And I've owned a ton of boards......)

Nobile Shinn 134

Nobile NHP 134
Nobile NHP Carbon 134
Nobile XTR 140
Axis Limited 136
ASP Stealth 134

Axis Limited 138
I think a good board is worth it. Sure you don't need to drop a fortune for a great board, but if you find one that suits you and it rides great.........F'ck it. You only live once.

Not sure I agree about kites vs boards. Looked after well a kite will keep going for years and years. Boards too but I find myself getting new boards much more often than kites.

yes $200 for the nobile 50/50 but it was used. After breaking 2 trax fone (1 under warranty), not sure I want to invest more than $350 ish in a board ;( I think I abused the first one a lot not knowing how to land, second one probably abused working on beach start too... Not fault of the board but so far the Nobile is holding really well and for a wood/glass board it's as light as the carbon trax.
That carved imperator looks pretty neat, I have a friend who has one, I will try it when I get a chance.
One of my buddy is on his 4th Cabrinha Ace
keeps breaking them on darkslide or bad loop landing.

All of his best work was done around 2009-2013. Just before he jumped ship to Best. Nothing truly mind blowing since then on the water, of course his recovery from cancer is both impressive and an upbeat relief. He's an icon for sure, but echoing the post about how nothing has changed in the last decade. You want to stomp it like Lenten in his prime......Spend about half of what your would on a full carbon board and get yourself an old fuel, a set of boots and a standard twin tip. Then just grow a pair of humungimous balls!
